Plywood chip box

How many people have made their own ply chip box? I've knocked one up out if 3x2 and marine ply and am looking at painting it. What paint has anyone used? I want it quite durable as I don't want to have to re do it every few months. Cheers.

I would leave the wood UN finished an be done with it. Since the wood is treated I would be surprised if the paint would last very long due to the chemicals in the wood.

I just used dark wood stain. About 6 coats of it.

I've tried using some green fence paint. It's quite thin stuff, will probably have to give it quite a few coats

Roller gets a really nice finish... Last time I painted a ply box it took a good few coats to soak in.

I used ply sheets for my wagon and painted it with a couple of tins of black gloss for wood & metal from b&q, total cost was about £200.
