Today I collected a sprig sample from each our 2 native oak trees. It was a good opportunity to compare the two side by side as they both have developing acorns - I also got a bonus knopper gall on the pendunculate oak to boot.

Ive seen knopper wasp gauls on a Turkey oak, do they appear on all species?

Just turkey oak and our native oaks from what I remember - the knopper gall wasp needs the turkey oak to complete its life cycle
