Drowned refugee children

Wow, been working away from home.

It's amazing the things that people took from what i said, assuming i was implying things that i certainly was not. perhaps it's my poor punctuation or perhaps people read works then re-word it in their head.

Matelot: what i ment by: When the tanks are rolling down the road on their way to your village, to rape your wife and your children, to brutalise you, your friends and family to destroy all you have strived for and built over many generations you will feel differently. You wont care about who Sanctions the bommers, helicopters, misiles or ground troops, in that moment you will not care. If you have the option and means to flee or to get your loved ones out before they arrive you most likely will. We on our small rich island can have almost no understanding of their situation. was that peoples blind insistence that we cannot/ should not intervene militarily is typically a hypocritical one. I was not suggesting that we help people flee. I meant what i wrote it's as simple as that

Kevin at no point did i suggest or offer the "mass relocation across many countries until the 'country of choice' is reached." as a solution or right or the "of opening the borders", nor did i imply it, i meant what i wrote it's as simple as that.

like i said: striving to find sustainable solutions for this crisis which, without a crystal ball, will be quite something. I will offer no solutions or suggestions on how to solve this crisis on this forum, i only hope to stimulate people to consider the issue from all its angles, peace out

So; Angela Merkels' open door policy backfires within a few weeks of promoting it whilst the UK was labelled heartless...

Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water.

As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly.

The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature...

Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore...

At that point the frog decides to jump out...

The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature...

Very soon the frog dies.

What killed the frog?

Many of us would say the boiling water...

But the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out.

We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to confront/face.

There are times when we need to face the situation and take the appropriate action...

If we allow people to exploit us physically, mentally, emotionally or financially, they will continue to do so...

We have to decide when to jump.

Let us jump while we still have the strength.

Think on it !!
