What bar oil do you use?

Try EP 90 land rover gear oil, it loves the heat so good stuff on hard working bars and chains, i've used it for years with excellent results.

We just use whatever oil is easiest to get eh.

We use vegetable oil from Costco usually around £17 for 20litres, using it in all saws for about 5 years now.

Haven't noticed any adverse effects or increased costs in wear. The only down side I can see is the cold weather when it partially freeze but we add 50% sunflower oil as it seems to have a lower freezing temp, or keep a separate oil can in the cab.

 

Not keen on breathing in vaporised mineral oil or "additives".

Just bought a drum of rapeseed oil from the asian cash & carry, so will try it out

Morris Lubricants, Croma 30 bar oil

 

Local saw service decided to hike their prices so i happened

to notice my local tractor/agriculture dealer had this oil at a good

price. so guess where i bought some.

Good stuff.
