When I was a lad we had David Prowse as the Green X code man For pedestrians.

Stop..Look..Listen.

But after a couple of decades of dumbing down and "My rights" campaigns. Its do as you like let everyone go round YOU.

Im in the middle of holiday relief HGV driving and get cut up alot even on the relatively quiet roads of East Yorkshire.

Last week a muppet on a moped with pillion on board(No L plate, which he should of had instead of passenger) attempted to overtake on the left on a roundabout with only one lane on that section. Skidded and nearly lost it on the lose gravel on the unused chevron marked area. Succeeded in getting past me then did the same manouvre when he got to a 3 lane approach roundabout, took the left side all the way round carving everyone up. Both roundabouts had clear lane arrow markings.

This is just one category.

Unroadworthy Horses and ignorant riders

cyclists obsessed with performance and the 3 inches of tarmac in front of them, no care for the things that could kill them around them.

Lout cyclists with no road sense.

Motorbikes desperate to be at the front of everything.

Selfish idiots in cars, vans.

We all make errors of judgement on occasion, just put hand up and apologise and get on . But many people are just self aware, is it electronic devices? sat navs, phones, complex in car entertainment systems. Bicycles speed/time devices.

I feel rude to be holding people up or hindering their progress, whether on foot, bike, tractor or truck.

Think of others Pull over, give way, keep out the way. Then everyone will get there quicker and safer.

But nah!! ME ME ME!

The point you're missing is that some cyclists think they own the road and that Vehicles should give way to them ( road going version of sail before steam) but if they are stupid enough to think that they are going win an argument with a 40foot wagon then they shouldn't be allowed on the road.
