Sorry to hear this, been hit twice recently so know the kick in the teeth feeling. When you get new saws add more security layers and a silent alarm that phones you, saved my stuff the second time

Hi Dan, weren't mine there the guy I sub too, 9 saws and 3 blowers was the final count, had undone sheets on the gable end and worked out where the sensors were then climbed in avoiding them.

When they tried me they went in through the garage roof, took sensors off the walls to try stop the alarms but that didn't work and while they doing that the silent one was phoning the mobile. Daren't have stuff at home anymore as once they've got the scent of saws they'll keep trying

Yep I know did my yard which is round the corner from his about ten years ago, didn't get anything second time though as I wasn't insured for enough so couldn't replace them.

Sorry to hear that, have you listed them on arbsafe?

Im going to do just that, finding the serial numbers on my saws was easy, but am I right in thinking that on the stihl blowers/hedgecutters they are stick on labels?

Also once registered on arbsafe, does it mean that the serial numbers go on a stihl database and if anyone takes a stolen machine into a stihl dealer they will know its been stolen?

you may or may not know, but with the Husqvarna auto tune saws the ser no. is always on the unit and shows up when plugged into the tool, you can also get the dealer to put your own name into the unit via the tool.
