I don't think you'll get attitude issues with Forst, a complete brand new axle came this morning. I can't even work out how they delivered it so quick,it must have been overnighted because I only spoke to them at 4.30 last night. No arguments, no quibbles, just a the question if we'd mind fitting it ourselves.

I wish everyone we dealt with put customer care to the foremost like this.

Gary, that's what I heard over and over again about the back up and service which I think played a good 50% of the business side of the choice made. And what ultimately put me off the ts brand as they didn't have the model I wanted in the UK and nor did they carry any parts so would have to be shipped from Germany.

Bought a low hrs used one eight weeks ago and the lads love it.

We have had a couple of issues with it but Simon in the service department has been great to deal with. One of the axles is causing excessive tyre wear, phoned him, sent a couple of photos and a new one is winging its way to us.

Tis a common problem I understand? the axle isn't rated high enough, your GM, TW and Jensen's have axles of +900kg on their 750kg chippers. Its the constant bouncing which causes bent axles leading to excessive tyre wear.

So I understand. I haven't looked yet to see which they have sent, a replacement for the standard axle or the heavy duty one. We've still 10 months warranty so if it's the standard one there's a chance we may have to replace it again. Time will tell.

So far though, Redwood have been exemplary in their customer relations:thumbup:
