I'll be serious for 5 seconds! I had the teufelberger 11.5 mm and the HC is a real treat on it but instead of using a VT I used a Swarbisch. I picked up the 11.5 Argiope to use my Zig zag on it but I think I'll go back to my HC

Did those 5 seconds hurt? :)

The Schwabish looks horrible! Can't imagine that releasing easily, though I've never tried it mind.

Not getting on with the ZZ?

If you tied the vt on 8mm and 3-2 I used to find it self tended well with the weight on xtc ,but after been on 11mm it's a heavy rope to haul around especially if your re routing all the time like on a reduction or big dead wood but then the draw back to 11 mm ropes and ddrt is I found wearing gloves was the only way to get grip on the rope.

Yes they did hurt ! It can bind a bit you just take the weight off a bit and its good to go. One good point though it really feels safe as houses. As a newbie to climbing it gives me lot more confidence than the ZZ

Hi Richie

Well worth persevering with the ZZ IMO . I've had mine nearly a year now and I love it. I've put my hitch climber on my side strop with a VT. It's a great combo.
