New hedge recommendations

Hi all,

Later on this year I have a large hedge to remove (leylandii) approx 75m in length, the hedge is at a school, the stumps will be left as close to ground level as possible and the bank is to be restored/re levelled with a digger before re planting,

The neighbours side is to be fenced by myself 6ft height picket fencing to make a screen from the playing field, however the school would like a new hedge to be planted and maintained

What would be a good type to plant,

Ideally they are wanting fast growth and a quick screen,

My thoughts originally were willow, poplar something along those lines as they have a willow hedge adjacent and it does really well.

Any help would be much appreciated

I have always avoided laurel as it harbours flies.

A good traditional 5 hawthorn/3 field maple/1 dog rose/2 hornbeam/1 holly hedge, well planted will be as quick as anything else. You could throw in some wild service too as a nice gesture!
