They do work out expensive with a couple of batteries, till you consider that the batteries are interchangeable through the range of products. Of course if you only plan on using the chainsaw then that's irrelevant. I'm thinking about selling my Stihl 4 stroke brush cutter and getting a batter strimmer. I only ever use it for my own garden these days anyway

In regards to the price of the batteries just think of it as buying a lot of fuel upfront. They only cost a few piece to charge.

The running costs are a lot cheaper in the long run, especially when you consider the lower maintenance required for battery machines.

Ha thanks. Although it's just something our rep told me which I thought was quite true.

Sorry to hear about the theft:thumbdown: all to common these days unfortunately.

I think your doing right in buying a petrol saw as your main machine, the battery saws do have their place but atm that's not to be a main/only pro saw imo.

I wouldn't advise any pro user to buy a battery saw as their main saw.
