Any idea what this weed is?

 

Over the last 2 years it has slowly been taking over the yard (between cobbles and flags).

 

Any idea what would kill it? Glyphosates don't touch it.

Try strong vinegar or acetic acid. You could also use Roundup with detergent and/or wallpaper paste, to make the weedkiller stick to the waxy surface of the liverwort.

Going to try the wall paper paste thing with some laurel regeneration we have to selectively kill off soon, apply with a brush direct to the leaf.
