Any idea what this weed is?

 

Over the last 2 years it has slowly been taking over the yard (between cobbles and flags).

 

Any idea what would kill it? Glyphosates don't touch it.

What about a burner? avoids nasty chemicals but kills off pretty well everything

I have tried one of those gas canister garden burners. Burned off the top but then just seemed to grow through again.

It`s a liverwort, it won`t do any harm.

I don't know the name of it, but it never gets taller than that does it? Wouldn't it be easier to just live with it?

Try strong vinegar or acetic acid. You could also use Roundup with detergent and/or wallpaper paste, to make the weedkiller stick to the waxy surface of the liverwort.

Going to try the wall paper paste thing with some laurel regeneration we have to selectively kill off soon, apply with a brush direct to the leaf.

Its a broadleaved weed.

 

The herbicide you need is Grazon pro and an adjuvant.

 

Treat when no wind, no sunlight, not in times of drought and rain not forecast for 24 hours - evening best.

Think roundup will kill it, we have used one called mogeton which kills it.

You tend to get this in wet areas

Don't mix mogeton to strong it turns everything orange!
