Aspartame in diet coke will be a killer for profits when the health effects really start hitting home. Pardon the pun...

No fan of the drink either and I never drink it but I respect what it did for me in 2006! Twas the non diet mega sugar variety

Yep, aspartame is truly nasty. Stevia is a step in the right direction.

Not to mention the fact that its becoming more and more clear that all low calorie sweeteners are probably responsible a great many cases of type 2 diabetic. Its pretty obvious really, you eat or drink something sweet, your body produces insulin to deal with the sugar, then there is no sugar, it can't be good for you.

Not just diet coke. Next time you are in Tesco or wherever you normally shop, I challenge you to find a single bottle of cordial(orange, blackcurrant etc) without it in!

Rocks cordial ;)

What do I win ?

Agreed, im trying to stay off the stuff. I reckon in a few years time they will be attributing all sorts of diseases to Coke

Agreed, all sorts of nasty stuff in it, best used as drain cleaner.
