I got heatstroke after snorkelling all day in hot sun, waking up very unwell and googling symptoms was a scary experience. Luckily had big bottle water in fridge and spent next couple hours sipping water on balcony outside where thankfully there was cold wind. I probably should have sought medical help though

Love it!!

Love it , have you forgotten what sideways rain and freezing hands is like ?

Me too, bring it on :thumbup1:

Or, have to go to work to feed the kids.:001_rolleyes:

Plain water isn't great as it doesn't replace the electrolytes lost in sweat. Coconut Water is fantastic, Coca-Cola tops up the electros.

I would avoid coca-cola, or any such type of drink. They're not particularly great for you at the best of times.

I woke up absolutely running with sweat and feeling hellish, I suspected straight away what problem was and Google truly was my friend. Got a bollocking off missus for not waking her, with hindset not waking her and not seeking medical help wasn't best idea.

On separate note is it worth one of the mods creating a health section and moving threads like Lyme disease into it? Edit out all the non posts leaving purely images and advice from people such as Katie Fox medic, perhaps she'd write up tips on heatstroke also and other common ailments from working in outdoors. Ten minutes spent reading it could be invaluable
