Sorry Jon, been in the living room.

I've got 5p, a hair grip, some Haribos covered in dog hair, 2 pens and a load of loom bands so far.

I'll keep at it.

No experience with Ssangyong but my Dad had a Great Wall Steed which is also Chinese. He thought he couldn't go wrong with a 7 year warranty and at the price it seemed a bargain. However it was very poorly constructed, brake pads only lasted few thousand miles. He got fed up with small niggly problems and decided to sell it with 6 years of warranty left on it. Thats where he got stung, they depreciate massively second hand, nobody wants them. You pay more for Toyota/Nissan/Mitsy etc but you get what you pay for and when you trade them in you get a good price. He's now got an old Disco 2 which he's pleased as punch with.

The basc schemes on the ford ranger on the xtl model with the basc scheme is 18% off the price plus if you can get the vat back makes for a very tidy saving but the have schemes available for hilux l200 ranger and dmax on pick ups

Hi all SSANGYONG PICK UP ANY GOOD THERE ONLY £15)20k but are they any good seen them today at show there on coil spring to thanks Jon

Had one as a work ute for a couple of years Jon. Not that heavy duty and the 4WD is really only a lightweight version but for what they are they're not a bad motor. I was supposedly upgraded to a Holden (Vauxhall) ute but it's got less grunt off the line and it's a heavy unwieldy thing. The ssangyong or ping pong as I called it, is quite a lively little diesel and if all you need is a four seat, cheap motor that you can throw a few saws, chooks, bricks or whatever in the back, it'll do the job fine. Oh, and it's a darn site more comfy ride than the Vauxhall in my opinion. Just don't expect much room in the back seats. Also, have a look at the Rexton. Sharp looking motor for the price.
