Crrently use a 110 td5 truck but want something to take the grandchildren out in and capable of towing 3 500kg.

I could doubtless get away with keeping my Landy , but fancy something special and the grandchildren can be my excuse.

I appreciate they both cost a little more to run.

Intend to spend 10k but would up it to 15 when the wife was looking the other way.

Which is best ?

Toyota Landcruiser is your best bet, it won't brake down & it won't cost you a small fortune to repair

But if your set on sticking with Land Rover,s then the disco is better then the Range Rover just for the 7 seats and a more useable work motor with A/T,s

I sold my Landcruiser and replaced it with a disco 3 ( big mistake ) so I'm treating the disco as a stop gap

I bought a nice shiney d4 after a year it was like the flint stones. Needed feet out the bottom to make it go monumental farce even Landrover dealer appeared embarrassed and you can't get more hard faced than them. I was a Landrover man but won't touch the newer stuff now with a barge pole. The landcruiser is a little dull but will last 20 years and 400k without missing a beat.

Land cruiser all the way, my old man has one, has done 270k from new, with no more than wear n tear stuff like break pads etc,

Bloody rock solid and comfortable on a long trip too! Drove to La Rochelle and back in it, no complaints.
