Well bring it on Stevie, the M300 is the dogs doofers in the small chipper world. Largish willow by a lake, narrow access all chippings left on site, saved an awkward drag out. Swiss army chippers rule!!

Hope it's just work you and 'Gloria' get up to when you're out there on your own....! :001_huh:

Had to get a new hydraulic motor for my chipper the other day - £300. Could you take one of these that could come off the pump and be pushed onto a cog that then drove the 2 main wheels? It would then just have to have a manual lever to control pressure and therefore speed...

Just an idea..

Should have been clearer - was more thinking of my own 150tw rather than gloria. I am no engineer but if you had a drive shaft linking the 2 large wheels on a chipper and this had a large cog... This would free spin when you were driving the chipper from one job to the next. But then you 'engage' another cog onto this which is driven by a hydraulic motor powered by the chippers hydraulic pump...

That sort of idea - you'd probably have to have one on either side and then levers to control speed so you could steer it...
