Hi Guys

Can any one recommend a good brand of Glyphosate to be used in Japanese Knotweed. I can see many different brands available online?

Cheers Grant

The obvious is roundup, in my experience it wont kill knotweed, you just think it has, until next year and off it goes again.

i use the roundup biactive 450. Doesn't appear to do much for a week to ten days, but then it does gradually show signs of working well. It's systemic, so as I understand, this means it gets into the roots and kills the plant from there. It's been excellent on my ground elder, bindweed, and a few of Mrs Bob's nice plants! Clearly, you can mix it as strong or weak as you wish, depending on what you are trying to achieve. Best advice I've had that works - strim the weeds first, and then use the weedkiller once the new growth starts. This way, the new growth absorbs the solution much better, and it works it's way in quicker and more effectively.

I know clinic ace can take up to 3 weeks to show results, the manufacturers even state it quite clearly, but you can plant the treated ground within 48 hours

There used to be a French company that sold glyphosate in a highly concentrated (and probably illegal) form on ebay. IIRC a 1ltr bottle would do 10,000 sq mtrs of grass/weeds. Allegedly.

Might not look good if it gets into the ecosystem and kills all life in local water courses though.
