Re loctiting exhaust bolts, as I understood it Loctite is not heat resistant, so never had a lot of success doing it

 

Need something like Loctite 270 - dries like metal and once in, it will NEVER shift. Even with heat it just makes it marginally softer - not good if the muffler ever has to be removed though!

There is semi permenant , perminant , and give up now I aint gonna budge ! :biggrin:

Thanks mate....so do you just cut a hole for the pipe ...are there any modifications behind the hole...or is that then a straight flow through ? and the baffle i take it just needs levering wider ?

You don't have to cut and shut, the mufflers that have been done by Spud and I were not. The baffle needs widening more and a larger outlet.

That is mine, you probably want a smaller pipe.

Generally I go for a very delicate way of widening the baffles, it's known as a dewalt drill and the biggest drill-bit I can find.
