I had the yellow one (T-max); nowt wrong with the winch but the cable was poor quality - untwisted itself inside the winch - had to destroy the winch to get the mangled cable out.

Got my self a maasdam rope puller from tree kit a month or so ago, not as tough as a tirfor type winch but does 99% of what I need to do and it's a doddle to transport and set up and chuck a pulley or two in the system and it'll pull a fair weight. Got a trailed mewp weighing just over 2 tonne stuck on a garden a week ago and was no bother getting it out with the rope puller, well worth the money in my opinion

Another vote for the tirfor TU16 here, probably only use it a few times a year but worth its weight in gold when I do, Got mine for £200 of ebay, in excellent condition with a new cable so can't grumble at that!

I got one from Aluminium Wire Rope Puller - Wire Rope Puller - Winches & Pulleys - Hoisting and Material Handling

Its the 3.2 ton lift and 6t pull but doing the same as you say you want one for its been no bother at all and delivery was under 24 hrs. good bit of kit at sensable price, i cant recomend it highly enough
