I'm always winding up the Aussies and Yanks for their lack of finesse and massive drop zones, but to be fair they work on a lot of trees this size, and bigger.

I reckon the whole approach must be different?

You wouldn't come down from a 200' Euc for a cuppa, would you?

Be really interesting to hear from people who regularly work really big stuff.

Newton, before you start, long conny hedges don't meet the criteria.

I would have unclipped and jumped down for the cup of Columbian Filter coffee I was given yesterday!

To be honest I reckon there aren't many people who are geared up for that kind of work over here. Anyone got a 300' rigging line? I wouldn't fancy thrusting up that one after my two lunch time roll ups either!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
