5% VAT on timber sold for domestic fuel I believe.

Spot on. I'm the end user of the fuel so not selling it on. However, some would say it should be at 20% VAT as it is not a fuel but a raw material to be processed into a fuel. Happy at 5% though:thumbup:

I've just payed £48 and thought that was expensive

If the boys paid 5% he's an end user.

Get it up off the floor or the bottom of the stack all get real bad mould.

I've had Sycamore previously although in much smaller quantities. Processes nice and neat. It will be on pallets (on gravel) under shelter but this lot should last me three years.

Should be okay as we're right in the sticks. Plenty of other stacks by main roads to worry about further afield if there are any light fingered so-and-so's about.

I would think by the third year the sycamore will be going over. You would need to keep the rain off it then. Presumably your shelter is totally rain proof.

There is new cctv cameras up here caught a transit cruising around the farm at 2am last week waiting to hear back from the police what he was doing although suspect he was after diesel rather than logs getting to the stage you will need to start camping in the yard to keep things safe.
