Was referring to the 3.0 D4D as in the thread.

Mine's a 2008 and according to Toyota is not affected by the bad injector seals as it was built after. It's low mileage, but gets used hard when it does... 100mile + trips at max weight towing

A few months ago, the oil pressure (or is it quantity) light would come on about 5 miles after a cold start . It stayed on for a second or 2 and would go out for the rest of the trip.

An oil change to my usual Fuchs Pro S 5w-30 has solved it... well the light doesn't come on anymore. Now wondering if I should take more notice and perhaps it was more than just an indication problem.

Oil pump pressure relief... first thought...

I've just seen this thread by chance just as I'm about to buy a 2006(ish) Rav4 with the 2.2 D-4D engine. Is this engine affected by this issue and what should I be looking for?

Cheers

I had the same engine in a T180 Avensis 2008. Nice motor. Comes with DPF. No injector seal issues, more head gasket I think. Injectors themselves may have been recalled or re-flashed as Toyota call it. Check it's been done.
