Just need a simple GPS for the truck. The cry I used to hear was just buy a Tomtom but there are so many models these days I don't know where to start. Don't need anything fancy just a basic pic of where I am and where I am trying to get to.

Thanks

Smartphone positioning is often better than dedicated GPS. This is because a smartphone can also use the mobile, data and WiFi signals to help determine its position.

iphone is the worst option for satnav; where the Nokia Lumias score way better (the old N8 satnav was even better). Only ever had tomtoms in car, garmin?

I travel all over the UK mate, my iPhone has never gotten me lost yet :)

Gets me to the front door of work sites on most occasions or within a few ft :D

Think an iphone is not exactly a cheap option. Phone signal in rural Devon is reguly nill so a sat driven option would be better IMO.
