Jon . You can put a tracker in a log mate . Seen it done . drill small hole , insert tracker and glue the bark back on . If it keeps happening it would be worth it mate .....

It's (one of) the power(s) of Arbtalk Gary! She's heard / seen me unexpectedly shout / laugh / swear in equal measure and the only explanation I need to give is "its Arbtalk!" And that seems to cover it!

 

Spent many weekends in Amsterdam whilst working in Germany but this was the first time I'd taken a female companion with me.

 

As a consequence, I saw parts of the city previously unknown to me (I'll even admit to taking a "hop-on" bus tour that ventured outside of my previous area of operations.)

 

On that bus tour I was really surprised by the "greenness" of Amsterdam - I even tackled the tour guide on the lack of reference to (what I thought) was some really interesting amenity tree issues (apparent lack of management of some really interesting stock). Too much "Blah, blah, blah, Anne Frank, Rembrandt, windmill, canal."

 

Not enough "avenue of Elm, veteran Plane, electric tram cable with tree in it, poor root area for urban tree etc, etc".

 

Tour guide glazed over and wife dragged me into diamond polishing museum....

 

SO WISH I'd bought that book for you Jon! It even came with 3D goggles!
