The stump is worth cutting off and jet washing, you`ll be suprised at what a lovely feature they make when planted up with ferns,,,,theres the real gold!!!

 

That's what I wondered. I decided to leave them to firewood up the stem as it had to be done quickly and access was awkward. I'll see if I can have the roots later

I might be tempted in good oak. How much in weight do you roughly have,, is access for truck ok. Any chance of pics and sizes. Thanks.

Probably an 8 wheeler load of beam and fencingn only a couple of butts are planking, trouble is sorting it out as our machines are always out on site.
