A bit different but I remeber local news had a builder removing a porch from someone's house as the materials were still his. On top of that it was a council house and a spokesman from them said the tenant was responsible as part of the tenancy agreement to ensure the property was returned to its original state. So they'd still end up paying and not having a porch

I have only got close to taking one company to court for non-payment( a car hire company who have a high profile and a green logo :sneaky2:). They folded when I stood in their very busy office in front of their customers and very loudly asked for the details of their head office so I could commence proceedings against them. I received a cheque the next day. :001_smile:

A local businessman was several months behind , paying for his garden to be landscaped.

The landscaper happened to be removing a conifer hedge in his neighbours garden.

After the businessman came home , the chipper was started up blowing chip all over the newly laid lawn.

The businessman handed over a cheque and said " you will tidy up the mess " - " will I F..." was the reply.

Thing is with these companies like the one Felix is on about, is that they have entire departments whose job is to pay as late as possible, they have computer programmes devoted to accounts in versus accounts out, charge them all double then a bit more to cover the delay. They eat naive little companies like us for breakfast and don't give a monkey's.

It's nothing personal.
