New Claus Mattheck book

Well my copy arrived yesterday only to be commandeered by my 4yo daughter for an hour (incidentally, 'daddy's special work book with cartoon bears looking for trees' appeals to all ages!), so I've only quickly flicked through it. Initial impression is one of great quality. Excellent quality photos, binding and even three different colour ribbon page markers - simple things please me ;) It's a fair bit bigger than the research for amenity trees body language book, at 1.7kg a bit heavier too. And looking at the contents I reckon it covers a lot more as well.

My only gripe is the 'comic book' typeface, which I find a bit difficult to read at times, at the index is normal though  I look forward to some quality time with this big bad book...

He runs a two or three day event in Germany each year, which I'm planning on attending. I just need to convince the wife that I 'NEED' to go, for my continuing professional development:biggrin:

But, when he's in the UK, for the one day lectures, it's really worthwhile attending too. He's a very entertaining speaker, threatening anyone looking to doze off with his ball-bearing loaded catapult.

It's a pleasure to spend such time with claus on his home turf. You'll love it.

True gent, on the second day he was due to eat with us all for evening banquet but unfortunately had to dash. To apologise he bought us all dinner. Great company over the duration of the workshop to.

Normally attracts good crowd to. Relentless

At Loughborough the speed of the delivery was certainly relentless, apart from the odd German word that he looked for a translation for. His compatriot, whose name escapes me, likewise kindly spent a great deal of time with me during the lunch break discussing branch attachments.

First lecture I've ever attended where we were asked to roar, to get an influx of oxygen into our bodies to activate our brains. He/they are a class act, no doubt.

Still can't remember the other Claus' surname though.:confused1:
