Egg identification ??

Hi does anyone know what laid this egg.

It was just laying on the verge outside no nests or signs of activity.

Has to be a Goose or Swan egg, one thing is certain though, you will be enjoying the mother of all omelettes for lunch today:thumbup:

it looks about the right size for a Rhea or Ostrich egg.

Get it in the airing cupboard it could be your Christmas dinner A friend of mine used to keep a few geese and the eggs are really nice but one scrambled was enough for me and my missus.

Not a goose (goose eggs are pointier), and not a swan egg either I reckon as they tend to be a bit spotty and also pointier.

 

Unless the person holding it has tiny hands, I'd go with David's suggestions.

Ostrich at a guess?

 

Possibly a Croc- or a Dino of some kind. Its not hard boiled, and been dropped by a overflying Stork has it?
