cool, i would sometimes if i got stuck in a rubbish position take of my side line and attach it to the branch and clip into the krab, it was good because it would choker and if on a long slippy limb it was a better working position, now i would just stick a sling on my harness

Well, it always sounds worse because of the conservatory roof but also I was thinking of my debts, mortgage, family but not in that particular order and also the new equipment I can't really afford that I have purchased for this particular job.

Tend not to work in the wet unless its ground work, fencing etc, just cant be assed with getting piss wet throught by 9am and being like that all day only to end up ill 2 days later so your off work for a week. Tree will still be there another day. if its urgent then fair enough or if it starts raining during the job then carry on but i dont go out if its lashing down first thing.

 

called today off as its been peeing it down all night here and still is, felled a load of conny's yesterday and god 12ft high by 10ft thick by 20ft long "wall" of ivy to rip out and stump grind, and i just know after the first 10mins im gonna be totally piss wet through, off back tomorrow if its fair, service grinder and chipper and sort some bills out today.:001_smile:
