4 wheel drive tipper

Hey. So a guy I work with has a Nissan Cabstar. It is an alright truck, lacks power when loaded but I think that might just be the model he has. Anyway, we were doing some trees in a large garden the other day and it rained heavily and we got stuck for hours, winching it around the garden until the homeowner came back and pulled us out with his Jag.

My point is it is a good Arbtruck and you have lots of room in the back but a little bit of mud and it's useless. Obviously the alternative is a 4x4 tipper such as a land rover but am I missing something? Why do they not make a Cabstar or equivalent with 4 wheel drive or is there something out there which is like I am talking about. Not a mog.

LR tippers are expensive and don't hold a lot of chip. My advice is be a little more careful where you drive the cabstar.

Maybe run a 4wd like a cheap ranger/l200/hilux alongside it

Its a shame landrover never put the LLama into production

There are company's in Europe that convert cabstars to 4x4. I would love one think they look a good compromise between load space and ability for a vehicle of weight.

couple of vids on you tube.

been there with a transit on a flat lawn on a summers day! get yourself a £10 come along winch fom Aldi and stick it in the cab( i know not much room) or buy a mog, thats what i did. Been stuck once in 14 years and that was stupidity on a chip pile messing around.
