Apparently if it is multiple drums it only has to be 25% of the total volume ??

Dean - just a thought..

I had to get compliant for pesticides storage etc last year, and when I looked into it all, the easiest and cheapest way of making a chemical store and also legal is to get an old chest freezer... it is bunded and many of them are also lockable, if not they are easy to put a padlock on, they don't look out of place or draw unwanted attention and best part is they are dirt cheap or free.

You also have to keep a record of what pesticides come in to the store, and what goes out, dates and quantities. Dont keep the record in the store though as if you have a fire, the fire brigade would need to know what quantities of what chemical you have in storage.

Our bunded tanks are probably way too big for what you're needing: Clark Bunded Storage Tanks, but if you have a look at the downloads on the web page, you'll see our range of other bunded storage solutions. Not sure if this is the sort of thing you're looking for, but if there's a demand for a product, we can look into designing and manufacturing. Be happy to provide further details if required.

Cheers for that...

I am going to get rid of any stuff I dont use on a regular basis and buy it on a when I need it basis.

It would be an absolute nightmare to list everything I've got.

I would love to have been able to read his thoughts when he walked into my workshop, with propane, co2, oxy acetalene cylinders with diesel, petrol and oil cans everywhere :001_smile:

If you had know he was coming you could put it round a mates house!

The weedkillers are only used on one commercail site, so they are all going into their chemical store :001_smile: and my dad lives next door to me

Dean,

Your workshop is lockable so that will suffice for safety, the bund must have a capcity of 120% of the biggest container being stored on it.

What you need is something like this | Workshop and Site Equipment | Storage Cases, Cabinets and Lockers | Cabinets - Chemical & Electrical Equipment Storage | Special Purpose Cabinets for the smaller containers.
