Its surprizing how much of your view is blocked by the passenger wing mirror and door frame in lorries when looking left. If the car was in that spot when he looked left for that split second he would not have seen it. Still no excuse though if that was the case!

Wagon driver was going too fast to look properly. Balcas is just round the corner so the driver would've been delivering there, and probably uses that junction dozens of times a week, obviously complacency has set in!

 

 

On the news the local councillor was wanting a roundabout or traffic lights put in - a simple STOP sign would've probably avoided this near miss!

Sign of the times. Every time i go out in my truck i have the go pro on and a recording app on the phone called Routeshoot. It records time, speed and location in 15 min recordings.
