I agree and know all that . I have been reporting them for at least 4 years on fleabay but have given up now . Seen the " 365 " ones bid up for stupid money . Obviously by people not as knowledgeable as you or I . If it says mix ar 25:1 then no need to look any further . Its a fake .

True - but far from all ads include such specs.

What you put together for your own use is nobodys business - but never present the result as the real thing.

It will be heavier, and of sub-standard quality - there is no way around that!

....and of course you will be supporting the cheaters.... :cursing:

Heavier? I agree with sub standard, but that is because there is no quality control. I've used Chinese parts, a lot of the time, making modifications wouldn't be possible if I were buying oem parts, and full rebuilds would cost too much

Its becoming harder and harder to tell as the clones become more and more accurate .  If it says run on 25:1 then its a fake . If not I would say its genuine .  If it is a real Husqvarna the 365 special will have a 372 bottom end making it a bomb proof belt and braces under stressed , go on for ever saw .

The serial tag and box look genuine to me. Give me a minute and I would be able to tell straight away if it was in front of me.

Turkish by any chance?

The fake I saw had a super stiff recoil, the rubber pipes were soft and moulded with a flash mark down both sides and not like normal Husqvarna kit. Look for Mahle on the cylinder, A or B on the little flat by the spark plug and the usual moulded date codes and part codes on the different covers - if you are not sure!

What do you mean by 25: 1 ?

You know it's a 2 stroke engine ?

You better do a little bit of home work about the fuel and oil mixture required for 2 stroke engines. Maybe you have the owners manual with the saw,  time to have a read.

25:1 is the ratio of petrol to oil that a lot of chinese manufacturers recommend.
