Will be ordering some more 2t oil very soon, have been running stihl hp super (green) for last year or two,

I see fr jones are stocking husky xp oil,

I'm now running mostly husky kit, is it really worth the extra cost ( more than double) or is it a question of stick to what you know?

Thanks all

J

Whether its worth the extra cost or not I couldn't say ( I run XP oil in both my new huskys and am religious about not borrowing fuel from other cutters using cheaper oil though).

It will void your warranty on new saws if they have a carb problem and Husky test the residue and find you were running inferior oil.

Hi, you may find this the case with Stihl warranty but not Husky we had 2 550xpg go pop the same day which were fixed under warranty they commented on our use of non Husky oil but only in passing, it was the first time we'd been running saws on another brand (Oregon) in years and I won't be doin it again!😢

This if I may say so sounds like a load of scaremongery b*llocks.

I very, very seriously doubt that a warranty claim sent back to a local distributor will result in Husqvarna deploying their CSI task force down with face masks and swabs to test for 'residue'. Then send the samples to a chemical lab for analysis (costing thousands) and then fight the legal battle with their hard earnt 'evidence'.

Relax man, run it on what you can buy for a reasonable price and see fit, don't admit to anything other than running it on 'the good stuff' and leave it to them to prove otherwise.

A lot of money, power and influence has been brought to bear on a lot of otherwise rational people through these 'fear tactics'.

Ignore it, press on, life's to short dude.

Hp super is jaso FD oil, husky manual says 50:1

It doesn't void warranty any more than XP oil, the engine is not covered against bearing failure, lean seizes or air leaks.

We have been husky dealers for far to many years now,They never ever ask for any parts to be returned, never mind testing oil etc
