If your doing it over 2 days for a bit of fun fair enough, but don't worry about doing long distances in the future, me and my mates regularly do 2,3 and 400 miles a day in a selection of tdis. Drive it at the speed yours likes and enjoy driving it.

Thanks mate!:)

Hiya,

I'm picking up my new truck on Saturday, a 1986 110 tipper, it's a 300 mile drive home (will prob be spread over 2 days!). I would like to sort out some form of temporary breakdown cover but no one seems to supply this for a vehicle this old! I don't have breakdown cover with my insurance company. Hopefully it will complete the journey fine but would rather be safe than sorry! Anyone know any companies that would supply temporary cover for a landrover this age?

HI BIG just go along at 50mph you will be ok thanks jon
