Each one of those pin-pricks of light is a sun, most with their own collection of orbiting planets. There are over 200 Billion stars/suns in our own teeny weeny galaxy, and over 100 Billion galaxies in the observable universe!

My brain left the building at least a sentance ago, but you get the idea of how many planets there must be.
