ART positioner 2 issue

Hi all,

Everyone I've spoken too has gleaming reviews on the ART positioner 2 which I completely agree with. However upon using it the other day on a medium sized ash dismantle I was finding that it was catching quite a lot and slacking my lanyard off when I didn't want it too, it was quite off-putting and distracted me...

I have it on the right side and use a small ripaway which connects it to my harness.

Anyone else experienced this?

Cheers,

Noticed usually after about 12 /24 months depending on usage a change of the cam and especially the cam spring was necessary, but that was with the positioner 1.

Have not had the 2 long enough to change anything yet or see if there's a difference in wear patterns but it's holding up well.

Thanks for the replies however I only bought the thing and this was my first real job with it other than playing around with it in my bedroom (and don't say what I think you are!)

Maybe my set up causes it to slack off or catch easily.

Could somebody send a pic of their set up for me to compare cause it would be a shame if somebody (or me!) got hurt doing this with the wrong set up...

If I get into a position where Im on my spikes on a stem I find I can knock the little leaver with my thigh doesn't happen often just on awkward steams. Other than that I find it one of the best bits of kit I've used in a wire core strop
