Redwood/Jensen Continues!

So the rumours are NOT true!

And there also seems to be a few keen to confirm them and spread it further!...

It has been said on here before now that it's only time, surprised it had not happened sooner!

How many dealers sell Husqvarna and Stihl !

Direct conflicts can still work side by side!

I would of thought the industry would be in more support of a well established company like Redwood continuing to import and supply Jensen products rather then it being at risk of jumping around between other company's or even cease to be imported like some other brand names in the past!

Many would say the demand for parts would be to high for this to happen but this has happened in the past.

Jensen is a well respected and liked brand and along with the Forst which is also evolving in to a similar status,

These two could also work side by side and more importantly continue to provide the after sales back up that everyone needs

Without after sales back a machine is only good till it brakes and that is only a matter of time!......

I have been following the threads about this and I find the whole thing is very confusing. I also don't understand the Jensen Forst thing, please explain. I am glad I have a Timberwolf and a reliable dealer network and un confusing contacts if I need them. And before the usual slagging off of Timberwolf ensues let me just say that the new 230 is awesome and gives all the other like for like machines a run for their money.

I have been following the threads about this and I find the whole thing is very confusing. I also don't understand the Jensen Forst thing, please explain.

Wessex Machinery was the sole importer of Jensen chipper, the chipper division separated from Wessex and became Redwood UK and things continued as before under the new name... Redwood UK then developed there own brand of wood chipper the Forst. This is a British designed, manufactured, and assembled chipper so Redwood now became Redwood Global .

So now Redwood Global are currently the UK importer of Jensen products (machines & parts) and manufactures of the Forst chippers

Redwood has a network of service dealers which can supply customers with parts, after sales service and repairs in both the Jensen brand and the Forst brand so where ever you are parts and service shouldn't be far away unlike many may think you have to pay for someone to come all the way up the country form Redwood own yard in fact there's most likely a Service Dealer near you !

Hope that helps clear any confusion.

I have has v good service and back up from redwood in the last 12 months and am happy with both my 530t And Forst road to .

I would second this.

Personally I don't need to know the ins and out of Redwoods business.

I do know, through experience that they offer a great product and very good back up.

I did receive a letter this week setting the record straight on various rumours circulating about their business.

Those responsible for the speculation and rumours, would do well to consider how they would feel if same happened to them and their business.

There has been much confusion over the new dealer network for Jensen. I would like to confirm that Jensen came to the Uk to appoint 4 new dealers. Myself, being Arbrep Services, Alan from Beaver Plant, J Davies & Son and Dennis Barnfield Ltd. Redwood had absolutely no say in the new dealer network. The new "Jensen 4" will also be appointing sub dealers such has Ashley at GA Groundcare. If anyone thinks that this is rumour or malicious stirring please feel free to call Jensen directly.
