Thermal images on here showing how the fan is supposed to help.

I am not getting enough heat from my multi fuel stoves | Wood Burning Stoves

I have one on my 5kw stove which sits in an inglenook recess and the fan really does help blow hot air out into the room and stops the walls and roof of the recess getting so hot.

When we first got our fan we loved it but it had a fault. Returned for a replacement. But when it was getting sorted we noticed the room with the Stove didn't get as hot and the rest of the house was cold. Fan back on and the rooms hotter and the rest of the house is warm. Point the fan at the door and move the warm air out the room which gets too hot anyway. 33.1 was a new record for us.

Thinking of getting one - anyone use a fan with integral boiler ? I am wondering if there is enough surface heat to get the fan to work effectively.

I'm wondering the same, the flue on ours comes out rear of stove so there is a hot plate on top which kettle sits on, maybe fan would work on that? Not sure.
