What's better work/money? Tree surgery, firewood, forestry?

Yeah that sounds good that does I do bits of gardens ATM like hedges and grass and stuff after college and I have all my tickets I will throw bits of tree work In I think

The gardening has kinda led on to trees it felt like the natural progression so I now do everything for customers

Arb work is by far the best money wise, that said if you have the balls to buy the big kit I am sure that some of the harvester contractors make decent money.

 

Firewood will pay big time in the south of england where prices seem to be £100/cube +. elsewhere not so profitable.

It's not all about money. I've chased money all my life driving miles to get the best rates on the best jobs taking risks working all the hours possible.

Last year I just forgot about money and did what I wanted to do making a reasonable wage and been happy is more important

Banking. That's where the money is. Don't get into trees to get rich.

 

No, fair point, but a very good living can be had, in the open air, with lots of great toys.

It's not so bad.
