I've had 201T for a year now and am going to replace it because I have had enough of it. When I first used it I thought it sounded like a toy and was under powered which is even worse with a big bar on it.

Can I have some people's views on Echo and Husqy top handle please.

There will be a 201T on Arbtrader soon!

I bought a new T540 xp this summer, I was a bit concerned about the problems others had experienced with the AV spring breaking etc...

I have to say it is excellent. Very quick in the cut, gutsy little saw.

Really glad I got it now.

On the down side it is a little temperamental when cold or cooling down but once it is warm it is great.

I did read on here it's worth replacing the AV spring regularly.

I used a 201 previously and I much prefer the husky, there's no comparison.

I've heard that the 201 M-Tronic is much better. Maybe you can buy a upgrade.

The Stihl trainer told me that you can send in your old 201 for a free upgrade at a dealer (obviously Stihl recognise that it wasn't the saw it should have been) new carb, exhaust and ignition I think.

Has anyone done this!? I'd be interested to know if it's true or hearsay...

Not sure if I've still got the receipt...
