I've had 201T for a year now and am going to replace it because I have had enough of it. When I first used it I thought it sounded like a toy and was under powered which is even worse with a big bar on it.

Can I have some people's views on Echo and Husqy top handle please.

There will be a 201T on Arbtrader soon!

I bought a new T540 xp this summer, I was a bit concerned about the problems others had experienced with the AV spring breaking etc...

I have to say it is excellent. Very quick in the cut, gutsy little saw.

Really glad I got it now.

On the down side it is a little temperamental when cold or cooling down but once it is warm it is great.

I did read on here it's worth replacing the AV spring regularly.

I used a 201 previously and I much prefer the husky, there's no comparison.

Iv got the new echo for about 3 months, use it every day. I haven't treated it any different to our old 200t . I think it more than capable of holding its own against the other's,and it's a good bit cheaper.

I've heard that the 201 M-Tronic is much better. Maybe you can buy a upgrade.

The Stihl trainer told me that you can send in your old 201 for a free upgrade at a dealer (obviously Stihl recognise that it wasn't the saw it should have been) new carb, exhaust and ignition I think.

Has anyone done this!? I'd be interested to know if it's true or hearsay...

Not sure if I've still got the receipt...

OMG What are stihl doing. Here in Germany since autumn 2014.

That is true, but only Germany, Spain and Canada have the 193t!? I was informed by Stihl that they only get the IPL on mediacat 2 months before release!
