Painting and fixing

In preparaton for painting,took the cab off the mog today,took the mirrors and accessories off the day before.Will be grinding off Rust and rust proofing the rusty bits over the next little while.

 

Sadly the compressor wouldn't charge the tanks to get the brakes off,so I tried to pull it with the Tractor,then the Chev and now have decided to reconnect the heater hose's and power up the airtanks with the engine.Have to plug some other hose's but it will work.

can you remember how it all goes back together :001_tongue: hope you dont have too many spares left over :blushing:

 

I know what you mean! I have photographed and coded all the air unions,as well as numbering and photograhing the wiring loom.Its not that complex,but all the hoses are the same colour.

You need to go out and get yourself a proper compressor instead of going round like stig of the dump and picking them up from scrap yards :sneaky2::001_tongue:

 

Maybe if I got a smoky old straight six engine and timed it to run on four pots,then I could weld pipes to an old water heater and make my own compressor!

 

Propper job!
