Blocking

Hi have a Tp 150 chipper which chips really well until i do leyandi , after about an hr it blocks the shoot , i clean her out but 10 mins later she does the same . on any other stuff shes fine any ideas why or how to stop it ? i have tried putting less in at this rate its easier to to chuck it on van and dump it

Maybe sharpen ur blades!

Check the anvil also. Is the chip quality & size consistent with sharp blades?

Blades are sharp , the chip size is constant . just seems to block the shute at the base i clean her out and run bare wood through her and its fine as soon as i put leyandi through her again like i said afte about 10 mins shes blocked .

If you have a lip/burr in the shoot or if the shoot isn't down right it doesn't take much of a twig to block it right up

im new to all this could you explain what the anvil is please .

take the chute off and check that the fans on the back of the flywheel are all ok if just a coupl of the fins are missing this will cause it to block easier

it takes a bit longer, but try feeding the leyland slower and dont throw as much in as you can at once

Put it in back to front if possible as well, so the wood pushes the greenery through.

i know a guy who cut the bottom off his chute so that green material could just fall out before blocking the chipper, 190 timber wolf i use blocks if nossle on chute is aimed down too far.
