yep i am tempted by a 560xp too as they rip. spotted you (i think twas you) out the back of Taunton today on a forestry site as i was working a couple of miles up the road from ya.

Hi yes that was me, be up there All week, that's the big site of chestnut I've taken on. You will see what has been forwarded out from the road!!

In fresh air ...faster chain speed . Buried deep in the wood ...don't lean on it too hard as you have sacrificed a little of the torque by upping the gearing . An 8 pin sprocket still allows you to use a standard chain loop for your given bar size . If you go to a 9 pin you need to add another driver to the loop . I find the 560 that I have sufficiently strong and grunty to run 18" bar .325 chain driven by an 8 pin . It is modded slightly though . Hope that explains it .
