With plenty of rock climbing experience I would imagine the climbing side of things will be pretty strait forward for you. Make sure you learn your knots and personally I would get the theory side dialed in so to speak. Most of all relax and enjoy your self :)

Thanks Coletti, I will practice my knots as some mentioned I have never used. The theory I should get from the NPTC guides someone else linked to this thread. I'm looking forward to the training, but not the assessment! The advice from all this has been very helpful as I am doing this off my own back and don't have anyone local to ask about all this.

Thanks for that tip. Think I have a Sigg bottle kicking around my gear cupboard. I might well be filling it with hot water too as it might be a bit chilly in mid-feb up here in the North east of Scotland.:cool:
