Saw this today whilst out and about driving between jobs in the London Borough of Camden, and felt encouraged that someone in an office has given birth to this little idea.

Every drop counts.

Are there similar schemes across the country encouraging locals to give their Trees a good start?

Whats going on with that staking??? Man alive!

Not sure about the request for help... might it lead to overwatering in some areas (just to play devils advocate)? On the flipside, I wonder how effective would it be if Mrs Miggins empties her dishwater onto the already compacted ground without knowing about the irrigation pipe? Perhaps they could a paragraph of instruction combined with a really good mulching regime?

That one does look a bit weird.

They keep the stakes high to give less leverage for vandals to snap the tree though.

Yep & every drunk on the way back from a night out will no doubt help too

No problemo,

Urea will help along the composting of the freshly laid wood chip.

Thats if the Tree even gets a mulch :sneaky2:
