I had a look at them last year but ended up going with the Burley instead. Price was broadly similar but I liked the principle of the Burley for burning wood only, good recommendations for them on here, and I wanted a room seal kit. Same local dealer had both so I could have bought one as easy as the other but Burley took it every way.

Sorry, not really what you wanted to know I suppose but unless you'd want it as a multi-fuel that's how it looked to me!

With a lifetime guarantee on the Aarrow it doesn't seem you can go wrong.

Are they steel as opposed to cast iron, as I know the a burley is. Apparently they heat up a lot quicker as a result of this material being used but also cool down quicker (obviously).

Don't know if this is a factor.

Might be worth visiting a few stove shops to see if they've got anything 'ex display' reduced to clear. I bought my brand new Bronpi Zamora that way and saved a few hundred quid!

I'm a Clearview snob at heart, but was looking for a small 5kw free standing stove for an upstairs room and the Aarrow Ecoburn 5 doesn't look bad.....anyone any experience with these stoves?

Aarrow Ecoburn Plus 5 Freestanding Wood Burning and Multi Fuel Stove

any thoughts appreciated...

Thanks

Rob

I read that as well when I was looking for a stove but was prepared to accept it when buying the Burley.

It is however, complete bollocks, the steel stove holds the heat just as well as cast.

In fact I'd say better!

I am a Burley man also but have heard only good things about Arrow . Is easy on the eye too .

Certainly prettier than the Burley. Maybe it's just the engineer in me but I liked the principle of the Burley, I liked the fact that while it was new to the market it had actually been designed by a man in a garden shed over a period of about 20 years of trial, error, and tinkering.

Not enough things like that ever get to market anymore!
