Hi Guys,

Just going to start crudely editing my first GoPro vid, not sure whether to put it to music or not? It will be the first in a line of videos aimed towards prospective customers and interested parties as opposed to the scrutineering eyes of internet fora!

Chainsaws are pretty boring to listen to, but adding music seems to divide opinion and everyone's taste is different.

If I go with music would probably use something like Lithium by Evanescence.

So what is the general concensus - add a soundtrack or not?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Steve.

I end up quick scanning through vids that are just live noise, as it spoils the watch for me.

Prefer a background track to lessen the harsh noises of the day to day job, plus i think it appeals to a wider audience.

Thanks Guys.

Forgot to add - where do I stand with regard to copyright of the audio track? Will Youtube pull it for infringement or do I get a bill (unlikely) from the owner? I know some of the drum covers have been pulled because of copyright.

Ideally you should use copyright free music such as Brad Sucks. Do a search on Google, there's decent stuff out there. Cheers

GoPro Studio, but every time I try to launch it, it does nothing and I have to re-install the bloody thing :cursing:

I have had the same problem with gopro studio but it was free and you get what you pay for.

I haven't put music to mine because, well for my first goes I didn't bother and it seemed more complicated than I wanted to bother with, later perhaps

You can use Windows Movie Maker to edit the video. Alot easier to use than the GoPro Software imo. Only possible downside is you cant mess around the the colour settings much :(
