hi im in the line maybe buying a new 60cc chainsaw my 560xp has done me well but the old girl has passsed it so been considering something different any one tested the makita ea6100 dolmar ps 6100 saw there both the same saw they look a solid reliable light very powerful and cheaper to purchase

shavey or tcd are your best bet. I've got the ea4300 and find in a capable little saw. I just also got a dcs9010 and its a beast.

I'd be interested to see it, but the new generation of Makitas seem to have become heavier, less powerful and their vibration stats aren't that competitive. Plus they are also now electronic, so the argument for a simpler saw to maintain is gone as well.

 

I can also only find it £32 cheaper than the 560xp.

the makita EA6100 and the Dolmar PS-6100 are both the same power output and are becoming more popular its a good strong saw defiantly worth a try

hello J the 6100 is'nt electronic it has memory power ignition and easy start

but no electronic tuning it does'nt even have a cat muffler it is a tad heavier than the competition but worth it :thumbup:
