One of the tyres keeps wearing on the inside. Pressure ok. Bearing is new. This is the second tyre now wasted. Has anyone else had this problem. Chipper is ch25ph entec. could it be a problem with the suspension axel

does the wheel appear to have any camber when you look at it??bent stub axle perhaps? does it have independent suspension units or is it a complete axle? if it has the first check the bolts that secure it are not loose as it would cause movement and change the angle of the wheel

no, its the offside one. suspension unit is all part of the axle, which is a essieux axle. Have checked bolts are tight etc. if it is a bent axle stub would it be best getting a new complete axle as the suspenson units have seized anyway.

Check your hitch height. You see far to many trailered items that are hitched far to high. This alters the wheel camber/inclination/tracking.

In the worse cases you see trailers (mostly builders mixers & road rollers for some reason) doing a dance behind the (white van normally) tow vehicle.

It'll be a new axle I'm afraid.

The stub will be bent or the rubbers holding the stub into the axle beam have moved / perished or were not aligned from new
